Your daily dose of manure

Still alive and kicking

I’m continually amazed at how busy life has become and, to be honest, I’m not sure I’ll be able to blog as we go forward.  My little 10 hr/week part time job has quickly turned into 20-25 hrs/week and when you add my other job on there as well as two kids on the football team….. there’s not a lot of time left in the day for blogging.  We’ll see.

My new job has put us over the edge of “hanging on to every penny” into more of a comfort zone and we’re so grateful for that.  We’ve been able to buy some much needed supplies for home improvements (including an AWESOME new fridge and stove!) and we’re currently painting as well as fixing to re-roof.  It’s busy here on the farm!

Darren suffered his first injury playing football – a kid dove right for Darren’s knees and hit them with his helmet.  There’s something terrifying about seeing your baby lying on a field in pain and not being able to run right down there – Ed stopped me.   His brother, Kenny, is managing the team and was first to his side as he limped to the bench and several staff were waiting for him with huge ice packs.  He took it easy for a week but is back playing now.

I’ve got tons of new pics for uploading and will post them as soon as I can find the time. 🙂
